1. A person approaches with friendly conversation;
2. Offers a “free” bracelet or gift;
3. Puts it on tourist’s wrist;
4. Demands payment and creates pressure.
WATCH FOR THIS
WARNING SIGNS
- Says item is free;
- Forces item onto you;
- Becomes pushy or aggressive;
- Blocks you from leaving
STAY SMART
HOW TO AVOID IT
- Do not accept anything from strangers;
- Keep walking without stopping;
- Firmly refuse interaction;
- Avoid eye contact with street vendors
