HOW THE SCAM WORKS
1. Tourist shops and agrees on a price in local currency
2. Payment is made by card
3. Seller processes payment in foreign currency (e.g., Euro)
4. Tourist is charged significantly more than expected

• Payment processed in a different currency
• Card machine shows unexpected amount
• Staff rushing payment
• Final price higher than agreed
